Kainos Cooking: Spring Rolls

Event Recap

At Kainos Cooking: Spring Rolls, our last summer event for 2021, we had a food-filled morning both physically and spiritually!

We began by hearing a testimonial from Karmi about the joys of motherhood through teaching her son the ways of the Lord. She also shared how she's been growing in contentment in God's timing for her family to meet her parents in China.

Then there was a time of making spring rolls with various ingredients like avocado, lettuce, protein, carrot, cucumber, and much more! The women ate their spring rolls while joyfully sharing praises from the past week, their favorite worship songs, and other icebreaker questions.

Additionally, we finished our devotional series on the spiritual blessings we have in Christ from Nicole as she taught on the topic of "The Blessing of Sealing and Inheritance." We learned that we are sealed by the Holy Spirit and have an inheritance which no one can take away. When we become Christians, God marks us as His own which guarantees our eternal inheritance and security. Thus,  knowing that we have these spiritual blessings should result in worship, praise, and thanksgiving. It should also lead to an imperishable hope,  a desire to use our time wisely for God,  an inner confidence in the Lord despite difficult circumstances, and a joyful dependence and trust in God as we live completely sold out for God!

This concludes our women's events for summer 2021! Check back next spring for updates about next year's summer events!

Event Testimonial

Here's what our sister Audrey learned:
"Nicole taught about how we should see God’s glory in daily life and how we can have great peace in knowing we are sealed by the Holy Spirit to give God glory. I want to apply this lesson by being more thoughtful and prayerful in my ministry. I have an app on my computer that tells me every hour to take a break from my computer for 15 seconds. During that time, I want to be better about considering how I can be excited for what I will learn through ministry and how I can be praying for the fruit of it for God’s glory!"
