Event Recap
The women gathered together for an edifying time at our first ever Designed for Beauty event titled “Changed in a Moment”! Michelle taught us from 2 Corinthians 5:17 that at the moment of salvation we are completely and permanently changed to have a new nature in Christ’s likeness! Because God has made us new, we are beautiful and can love beauty through our pursuit of holiness! We can strive to live out the beauty of being freed from sin, slaves of righteousness, and temples of the living God!
Before we were saved, we thought the ugly and sinful things of the world were beautiful. But after we were saved, we can see rightly from God’s perspective what is truly beautiful which is holiness and righteousness (Ephesians 4:22-24)! We are reborn to be beautiful and to be God’s temples which are holy in all areas of life (1 Corinthians 6:19).
However, sadly sometimes believers can return to what is ugly. Michelle challenged us to consider the imagery of a beautiful living body that digs up a rotten corpse to put it on her body. That is the imagery of a beautiful redeemed woman of God who chooses to sin and put on what is ugly. Examples of ugliness include when a Christian is lukewarm in her faith (Revelations 3:16-18), holds onto idols and sins in her life (Ezekiel 8:6-12), or commits sexual immorality (1 Corinthians 6:18).
As women who have been made beautiful, we have Christ living in us now which produces humility, thankfulness, and living out the beauty God gives us in our daily decisions! Ladies, let us pursue holiness and what is beautiful by seeking what glorifies God and befits Him!

Event Testimonial
Here is what our sister, Silvana, learned:
"Designed for Beauty was really encouraging to think about where true beauty comes from and how it is ultimately found in Christ! We went over various characteristics of what righteousness entails and the characteristics of how ugly sin is in God’s sight! When we are changed in a moment and that God made us new when we are saved, we can live out that beauty by choosing to act and pursue holiness instead of sin. It’s so sweet to think about how holy and set apart God is from anything! One application I took away from this lesson is to consistently meditate on God’s Word about His holiness, which helps me be proactive in my thinking!"
