Event Recap
The women had a fun time trying out new makeup looks, along with an encouraging time in God’s Word at GLAM! At the event, our sister Erin shared a devotional titled “Adorned with Grace” from Proverbs 31:30. Although the world values and prizes external beauty, true beauty is found in our inner character, specifically, in clothing ourselves with strength and dignity. This kind of beauty flows out of a fear of the Lord: having genuine reverence of who He is and living in humble obedience. We can clothe ourselves with strength by depending on the Lord (Psalm 118:14) rather than ourselves, regardless of the circumstance. Additionally, we have dignity, which is inherent honor and worth, in our position as God’s daughters through Christ. Lastly, because we have strength and dignity, we can smile at the future with confidence because we know our God and know His character.
Afterward, we broke into teams for a fun activity where each group created a makeup look inspired by different locations and time periods. Alyssa then led a live makeup tutorial, sharing helpful techniques for making makeup look its best. GLAM was such an encouraging and fun time, and we hope you’ll join us at our next event!
