Women of Gold

Impactful Warmth

Event Recap

The women had a great time at Impactful Warmth learning about God’s unique design for us as nurturers and how we can grow in showing care for and building up those around us!

Sabrina began the lesson by addressing why we should desire to be nurturers. The world often demeans this role; however, when we seek to be nurturers, we are imitating God. By caring for others, we can show them that He is a compassionate God who cares for others’ needs (Psalm 103:13)! Furthermore, nurturing is a gift God has given to women (Genesis 3:20), so we should see it as a privilege and take initiative to care for others rather than being lazy or selfish. Additionally, nurturers have a great impact on others: we can leave behind a godly legacy by raising up children and teaching them godliness. We also have the ability to enhance our husband by helping him fulfill his God-given role! Caring for others with humility and joy makes us effective for God and spurs others towards godliness! Finally, at the end of her lesson, Sabrina encouraged us to have a vision for other’s lives which shows thoughtfulness to encourage others!

Joanna, then, taught us how to shop for clothes on a budget to glorify God through our dress as well as through our stewardship of money! She gave us helpful tips such as making a capsule wardrobe and being thoughtful and wise about our purchases. One example of this is investing in clothing articles that will last longer rather than buying clothes just because they are on sale.

We have so many great opportunities to care for others’ physical, emotional, and spiritual needs with warmth and compassion! Let us grow in our ambition to care for others and in a consistent discipline of selflessness so we can maximize our impact as nurturers!

Event Testimonial

Here is what our sister Ivana learned:

"Sabrina's lesson on "Impactful Warmth" was wonderfully helpful in defining what it means to nurture and outlining how that makes an impact in life! We nurture because God cares about nurturing. He has given women the natural ability to notice and care for others, and He Himself is our perfect example of compassion, grace, and mercy! Sabrina also challenged us to fight the sin issues that hinder us from showing warmth. I want to put off any selfishness that causes me to have “tunnel-vision” when I’m busy and to be mindful of how I can show sacrificial and steadfast love to others! As much as a lack of warmth can tear people down, a selfless and gentle heart  to nourish and cherish others can make a lasting impact!"
