Event Recap
We had a wonderful morning enjoying tea and tasty food, hearing a great devotional, and partaking in fellowship with other sisters!
Christine shared a testimonial from Cornerstone: Adopted - Joy in the Midst of Rejection. She has been applying this lesson through finding joy in her relationship with God and not in what other people think. Through the story of the woman at the well in John 4, God used this rejected, lowly outcast to reach an entire lost city. This brings Christine a lot of hope, because, if God is powerful enough to use a reject and a cowardly woman like the woman at the well, He can use someone like her too!
Also, Sabrina gave a sweet devotional on the blessings that Christians have in their election and adoption as laid out in Ephesians 1:3-6! She defined election as God choosing a special group of people to be saved. Adoption is our inheritance in heaven and being covered by Christ (Romans 5:17). Knowing that we are chosen by God and adopted into His family should lead us to praise and thanksgiving in our daily lives! We can begin each morning by praising God for our election and adoption, being excited to read and obey the Word, and always being content in the Lord in all circumstances for He is our security and assurance. Praise God for the amazing blessings we have of election and adoption because of Christ!

Event Testimonial
"Spiritual blessings come from God and He CHOSE us before the foundation of the world. I want to apply this by living a life with overflowing gratitude and seeing each aspect of my life as a gift, realizing that I didn’t choose God, but that ultimately, He CHOSE to love me and CHOSE to make me His child. I am wanted and CHOSEN by the God of the universe—why would I ever live my life with anything but gratitude? This gratitude protects me from living a life that is discontent, but to a life that is effective and useful to the Lord."
