The women had a fruitful and encouraging time at Love, Continued as we reflected on the refreshing truths we heard at Women’s Conference and how we can continue to apply them. We heard a devotional from Jenn titled “Dependent Love,” in which she encouraged us with the truth that we can be consistent in applying God’s Word to our lives when we actively and continually depend on Christ. When we try to love others apart from God and in our own strength, it does not make us any more effective. Rather, God designed our love to be the outpouring of a living and genuine relationship with Him. When we are abiding in Him and nourishing that relationship, that is when we genuinely bear fruit (John 15:4–5).
After Jenn’s devotional, we had a sweet time discussing our applications with other sisters in greater detail, cultivating deeper friendships with one another, and keeping each other accountable in how we want to apply what we learned. Lastly, we made scented pouches to remind ourselves that we can be a fragrant aroma of Christ’s love wherever we go (2 Corinthians 2:15)!
Praise God that as believers, we have a personal relationship with God and can choose to love God’s way rather than trying to do things our own way. Let us continue seeking to apply what we learned from Women’s Conference by abiding in Christ!
