Women's Fellowship

Women's Fellowship is a teaching series in which the women learn from God's Word and enjoy biblical fellowship with one another. This year, we will be going through lessons centered around the theme, “Dignity: Honorable to God.”

These lessons are meant to help women understand how to represent God well by displaying His glory and honor in our everyday lives. As ambassadors of Christ and daughters of the King, we ought to be dignified, conduct ourselves with self-control, and fear the Lord. Come join us once a month on Sundays at 11 AM after worship service for a sweet time learning together from God's Word about being dignified women!

To end off our Women’s Fellowship theme of “Dignity: Honorable to God,” Charissa taught on the topic “Eternally Secure” and how we can have security in God and in our identity as heirs with Christ. When we understand who we are, we will never be shaken or insecure but live out lives of joy and confidence! 

In her lesson, Charissa identified four things that we have lasting security in. First, we are secure in our salvation. Our salvation is eternally secured by the Holy Spirit and can never be taken away from us (Ephesians 1:13-14). Rather than acting as if we need to earn our salvation by being perfectionistic, the reality is that our salvation has been already given to us and is completely secure. We can have joy, hope, boldness, and live with zeal for the Lord each day knowing this truth. Second, we are secure in our position and our identity as His precious children (Galatians 4:4-7). We do not need to earn love or security from God because we are already fully loved and fully secure. God’s love towards us is unconditional and everlasting (Romans 8:38-39). So, instead of beating ourselves up over our failures, we can be steadfast in our emotions and be thankful for opportunities to be sanctified. Third, we are secure in our circumstances. There is no security in our circumstances themselves, but we can have confidence in God’s unchanging character and promise to work through our circumstances for our good (Romans 8:28). Fourth, when we focus on eternity (Colossians 3:2), we know what is eternal will last rather than the temporal things of the world, which will fade away. 

Knowing our salvation and position before God are eternally secure, let us be dignified women who are zealous for the Lord, with a confident faith in His character and promises!
